README - this file

flow.base - a 5-water-year flow archive from a hydroregulation
model run performed by the Army Corps of Engineers; this archive
contains flow and spill records for the system in 1931, 1938,
1940, 1956, and 1957. These five water years represent a range
of river condition from very dry (1931) to fairly dry (1940),
average (1938), fairly wet (1957) and very wet (1956). In SOR
screening runs the River Operations System Experts (ROSE) group
recommended using these five water years in the ratio:

	 6% very dry
	18% fairly dry
	50% average
	18% fairly wet
	 8% very wet

The user, of course, can arrange these water years in any
proportion he or she wishes. Note that this archive contains
information for nineteen projects; some of these will probably
not be included in your river description file. CRiSP.1 ignores
archive data for such projects.

flow_wk.xx - where "xx" ranges from 61 through 94 inclusive.
These archives contain single water years in the system, using
actual weekly-averaged flows and spills. Note that each archive
contains information only for dams actually on-line during that year,
so for example, flow_wk.61 contains flow information only for
Bonneville, Chief Joseph, Grand Coulee, McNary, Priest Rapids, and The
Dalles.

flow.archive - this file is a typical flow archive of the sort used in
the System Operation Review (SOR) and System Configuration Study (SCS)
processes. It contains 49 calendar years of data for each of 19
dams. The data are averaged by month, except in April and August,
where the month is divided into two halves (AP1/AP2 and AG1/AG2,
respectively). This particular alternative represents the "base case"
alternative.
