DATASET: /misc/crisp/data_files/current/08Dec99

	 DATE: DECEMBER 08, 1999

	 AUTHOR: Chris Van Holmes

BASIS: Original dataset was taken as from 05Nov1999

	 CHANGES TO BASIS: in /misc/crisp/data_files/08Dec1999/CHANGES_TO_BASIS
Reverted to single columbia.desc and corrected spurious
elevations found in rivers database for years
	 	   1960-1970
Replaced zero elevations of Anatone and Peck with
value of 738 ft for years 1965-1999.
Restored 54-64.dat to original flow, spill, and elevation
parameters as used in crisp1.5 dat files.
	 	   (/misc/crisp/data_files/current/crisp1.5/$yr.dat )
        	Updated 99.dat thru Dec 1, 1999.
Made dams transparent prior to completion with
$yr.t.dam files. This included changing elevations, as
well as eliminating dam related delays and
mortality. Transportation sites may exist prior to actual
transportation but the start dates are set to
julian day 365 hence no transportation occurs.
Updated FGE values for snake and Mid-Columbia dams as
developed for the PATH process with $yr.fge.dam
files. These FGE values are from Sensitivity #1
where it is assumed the Extended-Length
Submersible Bar screens are more effective than the
Standard screens. These values were obtained from
	 	    Lynne Krasnow at NMFS(Portland) Lynne.Krasnow@noaa.gov

CAVEATS: Predation parameters and predator denisties not
calibrated for the Snake River above Lower Granite
Pool, the Columbia river above McNary pool or
                    below the Bonneville tailrace.
Expect free-running tailraces in reaches below dams
                    having extreme elevation_change adjustments
                    through 1975.

RIVER DESC FILE: found at /misc/crisp/data_files/river_desc/08Dec1999
	        For years 1954 - 1999 used Beer's

     /abode/nick/PUBLIC/River_Description_Files/columbia_newelevdepth.desc

with the addition of abreviations for PEK and ANA reaches so
they can be used as flow control points in the
	        Clearwater and Snake rivers.

         CRISP VERSION: v1.6.0 (Solaris 2.x)

         DAT FILE VERSION: version 7

NEXT: Calibrate and include Upper Columbia predation parameters.
Calibrate and include migration parameters using 1999 Pittag
	          observations.
Create FGE files for Sensitivity #2.
